Who I am

My name is Jana and I'm a fifteen-year old student at HLW Kreuzschwestern in Linz. I've been attending this school since September 2025 and I'm currently in my first year. Together with my parents, my older brother and my twin sister I live in a small village in Upper Austria, which is called Pettenbach. The way to Linz takes me over an hour and i get to school by train every day. I enjoy learning new things and improving my skills, especially in creative subjects and language. This is my personal Website, where you can find out more about me, my school carreer, the projects I've completed this year, what I like doing in my free time and a glimpse into my life in pictures. My educational journey

Volksschule Pettenbach

The first school I ever attended was the primary school in Pettenbach. I went there from 2017 to 2021 and I was able to walk to school every day since it was only about ten minutes away from my home. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some lessons in 3rd and 4th grade took place online through video calls with teachers and classmates. Even though the pandemic made school life quite different, I still enjoyed my time there and made many positive memories.

My school career continued from 2021 to 2025 at my secondary school, TSMS Pettenbach, which is in the same building as my primary school. At secondary school I gained experience with interesting projects, like ERASMUS+ and our school radio. At TSMS Pettenbach I got to know many new people and made friends who are still important people in my life and who I still regularly meet up with. In those four years I learned many new things and made memories that I hope I will never forget.

Since September 2025 I've been attending the HLW at Kreuzschwestern Linz, which is focused on Media Design. Currently I'm in my first year, but I've already learned many new things and made new friends, who already play an important role in my life. I don't know exactly what the future at this school will bring, but I am hoping to continue improving my skills and discovering new opportunities.

Media Design

& Adobe Illustrator

During the first year of Media Design we were introduced to Adobe Illustrator and its basic functions. We learned how to use the programm and did some projects to practice that. Here you can see a selection of the projects I created in that year.

In the top left corner, you can see a magazine cover for a fictional shop called Kitesurfer. We had to use different functions to design an appealing magazine cover and had to include several elements, such as a slogan and a logo.

Next to the magazine cover one of my favourite projects is located. Here we had to design a membership card for a fictional gym named gym4ever. We had to create a logo and design a layout for the front and the back of the card.

In the botton left corner you can see one of my most recent works. For this task, we had to choose an object related to Paris and simplify it as much as possible. I chose five different desserts that are typical for Paris and simplified their appearances.

The bottom right corner shows a project that we were free to design creatively. Our only task was to create the scene of a beach while using all the Illustrator functions we had learned and I decided to do a beach at.

MBK

(Art)

In our first year of MBK, which is similar to Art, we learned about different art epochs as well as the basics of drawing and painting.

The picture on the left shows a knoppers bar painted in acrylics. Our task was to choose any chocolate bar or other sweet and paint it as realistically as possible in an enlarged format.

In the top right corner, you can see a drawing of a bug in different shades of grey. For this task, we were given a picture of a bug and had to recreate it on a larger scale using only black and white.

Below the drawing of the bug is our first art project. We were given an apple and had to draw it in five different states using only a graphite pencil.

music

My favourite thing to do whenever I have time is listening to music. Whether I'm taking walks or doing things for school, I'm listening to music or podcasts whenever it's possible. I listen to all different types of music, but currently my favourite genre is English rap.

friends

Another thing I really like is spending time with my close friends and the people I love. I try to spend as much time with them as possible and really enjoy doing that. To me it's really important to see them regularly, because they play an important role in my life.

baking

In my remaining free time, something else I like doing is baking. Even though I don't have that much time to do it, I always enjoy trying out new recipes and baking different types of cookies, cakes and other desserts.
